RPCSS (Remote Procedure Call) disabled …

one of my favorite notebook, DELL XPS M1210 (with 4GB memory), is now suffering the disease of trouble with Remote Procedure Call. (Windows XP SP3, x86)

Generally,

In MS-DOS

net start rpcss

or from “Service” (Control panel -> Administration Tools -> Service)

If the problem appear again, manually registry change (regedit)

MAKE

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services\RpcSs

Start = 2

(2 = auto) — and restart.

Still no recovery,

use the CD-ROM (Before that, CD-ROM boot first should be set) of Windows XP etc. (Recovery Console)

Enable RPCSS Enable Service_Auto_Start

to confirm the RPCSS start automatically. Reboot. . . . . .

However, My Computer Still NO WORK.

Hun!
